They're Here

I'm a skeptic about the supernatural as much as the next person, but I don't know anymore.

Last night, I was in a deep sleep; a nightmare. I dreamt I was on a boat with no oars, in the night, on a peaceful lake with the moon out and the stars shining. All of a sudden, the boat started rocking violently. I grasped the sides. And I woke up to a noise of a SLAP / FLAP on the wall. A dvd from the middle of the stack of dvds had flown (?) out of the metal shelf of dvds and on to the floor.

I picked up the dvd to check out which one exactly: the title read, "The King Is Alive". Its a B-movie about seven stranded travelers in the African desert, putting on a play to pass time away before they are rescued.

Does this coincide with the little girls I'm seeing and the voices I hear in my head?

ZOMFG O NOES!!1!

Kathi, one of the charge nurses on last night's shift, was telling me that two female patients had the hots for me; the fat depressive girl and the middle-aged stripper. I think I'm going to shoot myself. Now.

Working in the behavioral health profession, that's the LAST thing I want to hear, is mentally ill patients having crushes on me, although, the middle-aged stripper is kinda hot ...

ICK.

Amanda Marie

I'd have to say that she's my closest friend. We were talking tonight at work and she told me her husband got instantly jealous of me cuz I walked her to her truck. They've been married for 12 years and she gets irritated at him when he drills her about her friends. They also have four kids together. I told her that I found it strange that her husband, after 12 years of marriage, would be jealous of me.

I once told Amanda that she was a hot MILF. She didn't know what that meant. I burst out laughing. I told her to ask Peter, who was the charge nurse at the time. She did. He did the same as me. Another nurse finally told Amanda what it meant; she called me a "tard". I guess that's her name for me. Or when I make her laugh too hard, my hot RN friend will tell me, "Don't you have work to do?"

After work, I escorted Amanda to her truck. The charge nurse on shift appoints me that task cuz we recently had an off-going nurse harassed and stalked by her ex husband. I wouldn't want to lose that closeness with her, even if she's only my friend. The charge also appoints me that task since I mostly work nights and the other techs are usually unfit physically to deal with any 'altercations' off hospital grounds.

Maybe its just that I'm assertive and confrontational and I don't want anything to happen to my friends and coworkers.

Hmm ...

Valentine's Day

I had a lot of sex today. With my FWB -- friend with benefits. Then we went hiking in the desert and got lost; eventually we ended up near the freeway, got our bearings and went grocery shopping at midnight. As I'm typing this, she's made a fire in my fireplace and I'm burning papers I usually reserve for the paper shredder.

I wanted to get her something for this day, but I didn't cuz she's not my gf. She did admit to saying that she loves me. Yeah. And I do care for her. And we have fun.

Burning trash in the fireplace is much easier and faster.

That's it.

not working

-- I'm somewhat obsessing on this woman. Don't ask. I saw her on myspace.

--
After pulling into the carport after traffic court, I was so tired that I snoozed in my car for about an hour. I have a bad habit of doing that: sleeping in my car. Sometimes, I'll be so tired after work and the drive home is usually 45 minutes away, I'll pull over to the side of the road and drop the reclining bucket seat, and doze for a few hours.

Yup. It takes me 35 minutes tops to get to work, but on average, it takes me two hours to get home ... cuz of me sleeping in my car.

Anyway, I knew I was going to get called in to work -- I've already done five nights in a row --, so I just let the phone ring. I checked it a few minutes ago after a day of non activity. Lo and Behold! I get two calls wanting me to work tonight.

Ain't gonna happen. I like my few days off away from the nuthouse.

traffic court

Immediately after work this morning, I forced my way thru traffic in my dinky car that any vehicle over 3000 lbs. could instantly demolish, to downtown. And traffic court. I wait almost an hour just to have my case heard.

The judge, who sat behind a thick glass window drew up my docket on her computer and asked me if I wanted to pay the full amount.

Her: So you want to pay the full amount? Two hundred and one hundred with proof?

Me: It was my brother's car and he came down and drove it back when I told him I kept getting tickets for an out-of-state vehicle. That's the full amount?

Her: If you have the proof of title and transfer of registration, then it'll be dismissed. If not, you have to pay the full amount.

Me: GGAAHHKK

Her: Excuse me?

Me: GGAAHHKK

At that instant, I had this overwhelming thought of my head exploding in front of her, my headless body sitting up and walking away ... S'funny how things I planned to do with my hard earned cash instantly evaporates at the touch of someone's keyboard.

Bitches.
